When the owner of Beaches, a popular Vancouver-based restaurant, began considering opening a new location at the Portland International Airport, he asked RSV to lead the design planning and renovation process. The project was unique in that it involved the Port of Portland, the City of Portland and the client’s creative process. For example, the car that is now a centerpiece of the restaurant required an extra measure of creativity to coordinate. The end result is a unique restaurant that brings a popular Vancouver brand to hungry international travelers and meets their needs with creative amenities such as a “grab and go” window.
